Mark Fasczewski
Mark Fasczewski
Mark has been involved in cycling for over 25 years. He started racing BMX, and eventually moved on to mountain and road bikes. While living and racing in Las Vegas, he found himself constantly researching information about training more effectively and efficiently. Because Mark had always been active in sports, he had a reasonable amount of exposure to anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and related subjects but found that he was in need of more sports-specific knowledge. He also found he enjoyed using his newfound knowledge to help others get fitter and faster.
Mark pursued the USA Cycling Coaching Education program in 1995.He received his Level 3 coaching license and continued on with the coaching education program, receiving his Level 1 (Elite Level) license in 2001. Mark serves on the USA Cycling Coaching Education Committee, whose primary job is to develop the USAC Coaching Education’s program initiatives and educational development for licensed coaches. He received his NSCA- Certified Personal Trainer certification in 2000 and is a Certified Coach with the Leukemia Foundation’s Team in Training Program. His combination of backgrounds gives him a distinct advantage when working with clients to help identify the most effective and efficient modalities to use to help those clients reach their goals.
In addition, Mark has been involved in team management roles since 1995, and has helped direct junior and amateur squads to success. Since 2005, he has traveled overseas to help coach the junior and U23 National teams for the USA. Mark has had his juniors selected for and compete in Europe and still has juniors racing for the US National Team today. He has had clients stand on podiums at the local level, all the way up through international competitions. Mark runs the USA Cycling Mid-South Regional Development Camp outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Currently, Mark is the Team Director for the Vantaggio-Specialized Professional Women’s Mountain Bike Team.

Kimberly Flynn Fasczewski
Kimberly Flynn Fasczewski
In 1996, while attending the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in pursuit of her undergraduate degree in political science, Kimberly started racing mountain bikes on the collegiate scene. She was on her way to law school but decided to put that temporarily on hold in order to pursue her newfound passion. In 1999, after relocating to Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kimberly started Team Peggy, an all-women’s club, in order to promote women cycling. It became very successful and was one of the top competitive women’s teams in the Southeast. Kimberly ascended through the ranks and received her Pro license in 2001. She pursued and subsequently received her USA Cycling Level 3 license in 2002. From there, she continued on with her coaching education, following up with her Level 2 license and eventually going to the Olympic Training Center for a week of education and receiving her Level 1 (Elite) certification in 2007.
During that time, she pursued yet another passion of hers – sports nutrition. In 2006, Kimberly received her Primary Sports Nutritionist License from the National Association of Sports Nutritionists. While continuing to race at the Pro level, she started the Vantaggio – Specialized Professional Women’s Mountain Bike Team in 2006 to continue promoting women’s cycling at the elite level. She has found a new passion to add to her already busy schedule…cyclocross! After using it as some good cross training (pardon the pun) in 2007, Kym has jumped in with both feet this season doing everything from the local races to UCI races across the country with great success.
